A few months ago, we reported that Cindy responded to word going around that she had rejected a collabo with fast-rising star Crysto Panda. This was after Sheebah actually went ahead and did a collabo with the artiste, which many felt was meant to rub Cindy in the wrong way.

The collabo, Kyoyina Omanya (remix) has now garnered over 800k views on YouTube and counting. Cindy had to give an explanation as to why she turned Panda down.

“That wasn’t demeaning him given the fact he is still at a lower level. I made the decision basing on what he deserves at such a level not above him. I listened to his music and I advised him to start with an easy style for him not complicated as mine,” stated Cindy.

When am working with an artist, he/she should bare a high lyrical maturity. This is because, when we go to studio, my first touch on the song may scare him and he ends up dumping the project. That’s why I advised him to start off with an artist like Spice Diana,” she added.

Cindy said that Panda should instead work harder to get to her level so that she can consider working with him. Well, Panda has beaten the odds and produced a number 1 hit. His latest “Bino byebilumaa abayaye” made it to number 1 on #GalaxyTop7 with DJ Herbert.

The singer went to IG to share his new found success. His fans showered him with praise on this major accomplishment. For sure, he is the future of Ugandan new age music.
