Today we look at some of the most prolific celebs in Uganda and their spouses. Ladies and gentlemen, we are sorry if one of them is your crush because the people on this list are all married.
Chameleon
Dr. Jose Chameleon AKA Joseph Manyanja has been making hits for as long as we can remember.
Not only has he kept us entertained over the years but he has also crossed over the borders with his music to countries such as Kenya.
While you may know and admire Jose Chameleon for his successful career in music, we wonder if you know about his better half, who perhaps is an important ingredient in his success and fame.
Jose Chameleon tied the knot with the love of his life in 2006 in a flashy event marked with helicopters. The name of his beau is Daniella Atim Mayanja.
Besides being Jose Chameleon’s wife and mother of his five children, Daniella is also a successful Ugandan businesswoman.
The two met in 2003 through a mutual friend at a Kampala bar, and although their relationship took a slow start because Daniella was suspicious of Chameleon due to his dreadlocks, and general appearance, the two finally hit it off and the rest is history.
Like most unions, Chameleon’s and Daniella’s marriage hit a rough spot in 2018 when Daniella filed for a divorce, but luckily for them, they were able to give their marriage a second chance.
Bebe Cool
Moses Ssali AKA Bebe Cool is one of the best-known Ugandan reggae artists in Africa and this can be attested through the numerous awards he has received over the years.
Bebe Cool met his sweetheart, Zuena Kirema in 2001 at Crane Charmers where they later had their wedding.
Zuena is a businesswoman, who runs Zuena Events, a former TV personality, and a former Miss Uganda contestant.
In 2008, Bebe Cool and his wife separated briefly after a rough patch. However, that did not stand in the way of love as the two are still growing strong together in their union which has so far been blessed with five children.
Bobi Wine
Bobi Wine is one of those celebs who just know how to make headlines.
While we may know him best right now for his work as a politician and an activist, we can never forget that he first rose to fame through his work as a musician as well as an actor.
Bobi Wine’s wife and his family have been in the limelight for some time now after Bobi’s arrest following his protests against the government and the reality TV show- Ghetto president which featured his family and ran for two years.
So who is the Ghetto president’s wife?
Her name is Barbra Kyagulanyi AKA Barbie Kyagulanyi and she is a philanthropist and author. In terms of education, we can confidently say that she’s one smart babe, she holds an MA in Human Rights from Makerere University.
Barbie and Bobi met while Bobi was at Makerere and Barbie was still in high school. The couple wedded in 2011 and are blessed with four children, they all live in Magere village.
We do know where Bobi’s strength comes from, it’s Barbie.
Salvador
Dear ladies, if you had eyes on “The man from Ombokolo” then you are a little bit late to the party.
Mr funny bones is married to a very beautiful mama called Daphine Frankstock and together they are blessed with three children.
Daphine considers herself a Ugandan although she has some British blood from her father’s side who is half British and half Mutooro.
Aside from being a dedicated wife and mother, Daphine has her own thing going on. She holds a degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from Makerere University and runs her own businesses including Urembo Herbal products.
Salvador met his better half while he was just starting out as a comedian and she was still in high school. They got hitched in 2020, and have been living their happily ever after since then.
