Flavia Tumusiime is an award-winning Ugandan media personality who dabbles as an actress, a television host, an author, and a voice-over artist.

While Flavia Tumusiime might appear to have everything figured out right now, the versatile television host did not have such a smooth upbringing as she was raised single handedly by her widowed mother.

Here is a quick look at who Flavia Tumusiime’s parents are, her education and career background, and her husband and child.


Who are Flavia Tumusiime’s parents?


Flavia Tumusiime’s parents are Enoch Tumusiime and Christine Asiimwe. Her father was a Ugandan from Busheri Nyabushozi in western Uganda, while her mother is of Rwandan descent.

Flavia was born on the 11th of February 1989 in Nsambya Hospital, Kampala and raised in the suburbs of Kampala.

An only child, Flavia Tumusiime was raised by her mother from the age of eight after her father passed on. Her mother chose not to remarry and instead focussed on raising her only daughter.

Speaking in a past interview, the beautiful television host revealed that after her father’s death, her mother made significant changes in their lives including moving into a smaller house and enrolling her in a less expensive school.

Flavia began her education at St.Theresa Kisubi Primary but after her father’s death, she switched schools to  Kitante Hill Secondary School for her "O" and "A" levels.

When she was 14 years old, Flavia got her first job as a television presenter for a Teens' show at WBS TV, a job she held for four years. She also presented another WBS TV show called K-Files between 2010 and 2012.

Flavia has since then presented a number of other television shows including the Guinness football challenge which was aired in Uganda’s NTV and ITV, and Kenya’s KTN for some time. She was also a judge in East Africa’s biggest singing competition- Tusker Project Fame.

After turning 18 years old, Flavia Tumusiime landed a radio presenting job at 91.3 Capital FM, this was after she worked for a short time at HOT100FM.

In 2016, she joined NTV as a news anchor for the NTV Tonight  and she was a co-host for the NTV morning show.
Besides her work as a television and radio personality, Flavia Tumusiime has also cemented her mark in the acting world and has played a number of roles on several films and television series including Kiwani: The Movie and Beneath the lies - The Series.

Along with having a very thriving career, Flavia Tumusiime also has a thriving family life. She is married to fellow television and radio personality- Andrew Kabuura who specializes in sports.

Flavia Tumusiime and  Andrew Kabuura got married in a traditional wedding that was held in November 2018 at Kuhingira in Ruyakitala. This was later followed by a white church wedding on 12th January 2019 at the All Saints Cathedral Nakasero, Kampala and they had their wedding reception at the Kampala Serena Hotel.   

Together with her husband, Flavia Tumusiime has one child- a son called  Liam Ashaba Kabuura who was born on 11th April 2020
