Rugby is a huge sport that millions around the world love and follow; in fact, a popular saying states, 'Saturdays are for rugby.' We personally love this sport because of the raucous crowds, die-hard group of fans, riveting tackles, war cries, and of course, the men in shorts. We decided to compile a list of Kenya's all-time greatest rugby players.

Collins Injera

Collins Injera's name has been yelled from the stands for over a decade, and his abilities have enthralled millions upon millions of people around the world. Injera discovered rugby by chance while still in high school and hasn't looked back since. He has played in several international games for Kenya, and he helped the country reach the Rugby World Cup semi-finals in 2009. The rugby player is currently second in the World Rugby Sevens Series with 271 tries.

Humphrey Kayange

Humphrey Kayange, like his brother Collins Injera, has made a name for himself in rugby history. The former Kenyan National Sevens team captain won several times while playing for the country's National Sevens team. He also has a degree in biochemistry and is a member of the International Olympic Committee.

Andrew Amonde

Andrew is widely regarded as one of the greatest rugby players of all time. He captained Kenya at the Olympic Games in both 2016 and 2021, and he led the Kenya Sevens to victory at the Singapore Sevens in 2016.

Despite his natural rugby talent, the former captain began his athletic career as a basketball and handball player. Andrew, 37, decided to hang up his boots and retire in 2021, and he is now focusing on personal projects.

Billy Odhiambo

The final name on the list is Billy 'The Kid' Odhiambo. Billy, like the majority of the other legends on this list, started playing while still in high school. Billy was hand-picked and received a scholarship to hone his craft, and he was named the Kenya Cup league's leading try scorer from 2012 to 2013. He continues to represent Kenya on a global scale.

Please let us know if you think anyone else should be added to this list.
