Ugandan comedian, Anne Kansiime has had a lot of success as a comic, selling out numerous shows in the country, Africa and the diaspora as a whole. She has consistently grown her craft earning recognition from numerous awards and influential individuals, including the queen of England.
Despite all those accolades and achievements, she was yet to hit the big YouTube channel milestone of 1,000,000 subscribers. Well that is now something that she can now add to her list of achievements after bagging the YouTube Gold Play button for her channel.
Recently, several other local Ugandan entertainers have received different buttons from YouTube to celebrate different YouTube milestones. Some of them include : Jose Chameleone, Spice Diana, Eddy Kenzo, and Masaka Kids Africana who all received their respective rewards for garnering several subscribers on their YouTube channels.
The comedienne revealed the good news through her Instagram channel.
YouTube Creator Awards, commonly known as YouTube Play Buttons, are a series of gifts from YouTube that aim to recognize its most popular channels.
They are based on a channel’s subscriber count but are offered at the sole discretion of YouTube. Each channel is reviewed before an award is issued, to ensure that the channel follows the YouTube community guidelines
Kansiime now joins Eddy Kenzo and the Masaka Kids Africana group as the only Ugandan entertainers with the Gold Play button.
