Eddy Kenzo To Work With Zari As Joint Uganda Tourism Ambassadors

Eddy Kenzo was this week chosen by the Uganda Tourism Board to represent Uganda abroad and overseas as a tourism brand ambassador after his contract as the Kenya Tourism ambassador expired. The singer who was very ecstatic took to his social media pages to share his excitement on landing the new role with his fans.

In the recent past, the Tourism Board has also appointed a couple of other ambassadors to represent the pearl of Africa including mother of five, Zari Hassan who still holds the position. In the wake of Kenzo’s appointment, some people thought the former representatives had been dropped, but no one is in a hurry to let them go just yet, and during Kenzo’s appointment, Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda made it clear that the entrepreneur and socialite still holds her position.

With that announcement, Eddy Kenzo will be working jointly with Zari Hassan to make sure that Uganda gets the recognition it needs aboard. The Big Talent boss will not be paid for his new role and will only be volunteering to wave the Ugandan flag across the world, something he has done for several years through his music.

Kenzo’s task will be to market the tourism sector from the fore fronts which he identified as the, Tulambule Campaign that creates local awareness of uganda's visibility in the East African region; Destination Uganda campaign that seeks to attract tourist from the rest of Africa; Twende Uganda tourism campaign and the Global Pearl of Africa campaign.
