11 out of 21 people who were arrested at the Kireka sex party have been charged after pleading guilty.
The 11 suspects were charged on Tuesday, October 14, by Grade One Magistrate Joan Aciro, at the Kira Magistrates’ Court.
The 11 include Suzan Akwir, 25, Phiona Nalubega, 27, Prossy Nabukenya alias Nakimera, 20, Esther Apio, 26, Christine Nsereko, 21, Edith Nakimbugwe, 22, and Mariam Nakalembe, 20, Ali Mugisha, 26, Sabra Achen, 23, Shakira Nanteza, 28, and Irene Namatovu, 28.
Magistrate Joan charged and convicted the 11 on six counts of disobedience of lawful orders, a negligent act likely to spread infectious diseases, running a brothel, indecent acts, prostitution, and promoting human trafficking.
Gandalebs.com has learnt the 11 who pleaded guilty now face three and seven years’ imprisonment respectively for the aforementioned offenses.

The suspects were nabbed by Kampala Metropolitan Police after being found in a sex party in Kireka.
They were arrested and detained at Kira Division Police Station on charges of disobedience of lawful orders and doing acts that are likely to cause the spread of infectious diseases, such as Coronavirus.
Their arrest caused a melee online with many people mocking and poking fun at the suspects.
