Controversial city pastor, Pastor Franklin Mondo has hit the studio, and dropped a hit song he titled ‘Abade Katonda wange’ loosely translates to, ‘it was God’

The song features beautiful vocals from singer Irene Namutebi who was a great pillar in the song. We promise you,  Mondo could not have done it alone.

In the song, the pastor shows gratitude to God for how far he had brought him and helped him through a lot of troubles and trials.

He highlights how God helped through a court case that had him spend two nights in jail.

His experience in jail must have inspired this song because when giving his jail experience, Mondo shade tears and went on to ask forgiveness from the government.

The court case was about his involvement involved in a fraud saga with another city pastor Siraje who is still in jail, with who Mondo was accused to have defrauded money from the flock estimated to be about 4billion Uganda shillings

To many, Mondo is not a pastor, but a flamboyant socialite who pretentiously flies under the wings of a pastor hood, many think so because of his controversial statements he makes in various interviews.

On another occasion, he was accused of having sex with young girls at massage parlors which he vehemently denied having done.

Pastor Mondo has also on several occasions been accused of being a false prophet who rides on lies and stealing money from the flock.

The Afro-fusion song seems like a result of a reality check that he got signed for due to his unbecoming character.

Mondo joins the likes of Pastor Willson Bugembe who has been doing both music and ministry.

We didn’t know the 'man of God' could sing, but in this song, he could be some good competition for Pastor Bugembe.
