It has been confirmed that DJ/CEO/Producer/ MC Dj Khaled will be hosting the prestigious awards will enter into the book of history as the first-ever MTV MAMA awards to be held virtually since inception.

Now of course Ugandans are excited about the development especially for the millennials who have been DJ Khaled’s fans right from the times when he dropped classics like All I do is Win.

When the DJ posted about it on his page, a lot of Ugandans were happy about the awards, his involvement, and very warm messages were sent to the DJ.

However, a section of Kenyans felt like Uganda did not deserve DJ Khaled’s presence citing insecurity and lack of respect for international artists.

This, they tagged on events that happened last year where two Nigerian artists-Tems and Omah Lay were arrested for allegedly holding a concert against the COVID-19 19 regulations.

Kenyans believe that after the show, DJ Khaled going to be arrested by the police just like they did Tems and Omah Lay

One netzine wrote, “after the show, DJ Khaled is going to be arrested by the very police that gave him the permit to perform, you joke with Uganda.”

Ugandans retaliated, “you can delay Uganda’s luck but you can’t stop it, Kenya wait for your turn. But if I may ask, do you know the meaning behind ‘Pearl of Africa?”

Another section of Kenyans believed that since Uganda is still in the election mood, it is too early to host such an international icon from America for it will be mistaken for politics.

“This show should be held in Kenya, Uganda is not safe for anybody right now. Please don’t travel to Uganda, it is not too late to change your schedule.”

Ugandans however assured Kenyans that Uganda is safe and nothing was going to cause insecurity, “Uganda is safe, you are just being selfish and jealous.”

Ugandans also assured Kenyans that Khalid was coming to Uganda to experience juicy Ugandan women because Kenyan women are dry and behave like men.

If DJ Khaled was reading these comments then I think he might have to think twice. Fingers crossed.
